The following was before the House in third reading: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 263(HSS) "An Act extending the Alaska senior benefits payment program." Representatives Herron and Thompson moved and asked unanimous consent that they be allowed to abstain from voting because of a conflict of interest. Objection was heard, and the members were required to vote. Representative Gruenberg rose to a point of order. 2014-02-26 House Journal Page 1706 The Speaker stated that many members may have a perceived conflict of interest and ruled that all members were required to vote. The question to be reconsidered: "Shall CSHB 263(HSS) pass the House?"
